Lane Cohen
Lane has practiced personal injury litigation and workers’ compensation law since 1988 after graduation from The University of Dayton School of Law. During law school, Lane was the captain of the school’s award winning mock trial team, and was editor of the school newspaper, Equitable Relief. After working with his brother Edward in their native Ohio for many years, Lane moved to Colorado in order to be closer to his daughter Abbey, now a graduate of University of Colorado, Boulder. Along the way, Lane has taken thousands of workers’ compensation claims to hearing, and has tried more than 100 cases to verdict in various civil courts.
In addition, Lane has made numerous appearances before courts of appeals in many jurisdictions, and has argued personally in two cases before the Ohio Supreme Court. His continuing education includes advanced trial practice training utilizing the methods learned and advanced by the Gerry Spence Trial College. Now with the Mintz Law Firm in Lakewood, Lane continues his practice of representing injured workers, and those who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Lane lives with his wife Barbara in Parker, where they share the company of their horse, BLT, Leo the dog, and Cady, their mysterious barn cat.
